Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) | TIKI Safety

Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) from TIKI – Lightweight, Clear Vision, Maximum Protection

TIKI develops next-generation powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR) designed for professionals who demand high comfort, maximum safety and a clear, fog-free field of view in challenging work environments.

Unlike traditional heavy or bulky PAPR systems, TIKI uses an ultra-lightweight fan unit, P3-certified filtration (EN12942 TM3P) and a panoramic visor, giving the user exceptional mobility and visibility.

TIKI respirators protect against:

  • Fine dust, quartz dust, stone dust

  • Viruses and bacteria

  • Aerosols and airborne contaminants

  • Construction dust, laboratory particles & industrial exposure

The system creates positive pressure inside the mask, ensuring clean breathable air while reducing breathing resistance — perfect for long shifts.

Whether you work in construction, healthcare, laboratories, industrial environments, emergency services, or carpentry, TIKI provides a modern, comfortable and safe alternative to traditional respiratory protection.

FAQ about PAPR

What is a PAPR?

A PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator) is a fan-assisted respirator that filters harmful particles, gases or aerosols from the surrounding air. A built-in fan drives the air through a filter and creates positive pressure inside the mask or visor. This means that the user gets clean, filtered air with much lower breathing resistance compared to passive masks such as N95, FFP2 or half masks. PAPR systems are used in:

Construction and demolition laboratories

Industrial healthcare

Emergency services

Renovation

TIKI is a modern, lightweight PAPR that combines the highest protection class (TM3P) with a clear, fog-free visor and ergonomic design.

Why choose a TIKI-powered air-purifying respirator?

Ultra-lightweight PAPR system TIKI PAPR masks weigh significantly less than traditional systems, reducing fatigue and improving mobility during long shifts.

✔ Crystal-clear visor with anti-fog technology Our panoramic PET-G visor remains clear in all conditions – even during intense physical activity.

✔ Self-regulating airflowThe fan automatically adjusts to the user's breathing, providing optimal comfort and protection.

✔ European CE certification: EN12942 TM3PTIKI offers the highest level of respiratory protection available for powered air-purifying respirators.

✔ Reusable and sustainable Designed as a sustainable alternative to disposable masks. Replaceable visors and filters minimise waste and costs over time.

✔ Ideal for multiple industries Construction and demolition

Laboratories and research

Healthcare and emergency services

Manufacturing and processing

Wood and metalworking

Is a PAPR better than a regular mask (N95/FFP2)?

Yes. A PAPR provides significantly better protection and comfort than traditional masks such as N95, FFP2 and half masks.

Unlike passive masks, a PAPR uses a fan and filter to create positive pressure, which makes it easier to breathe, reduces leakage and provides more consistent protection even during long shifts.

TIKI is also TM3P certified – the highest level of protection in Europe.

What filters are used in a PAPR?

A PAPR uses high-performance particle filters (usually P3 or HEPA rating). TIKI uses a TM3P-certified P3 filter, which means that the filter removes 99.95% of all particles, including:

- quartz dust / construction dust viruses -bacterial aerosols industrial dust textile and metal particles

The filter can be replaced quickly and easily without tools.

When should I choose a PAPR instead of a regular respirator?

A PAPR is recommended when working: in environments with high levels of dust or aerosols during long shifts where regular masks become uncomfortable in construction, demolition, industry, laboratories or healthcare where you need clear vision and communication where you want the highest possible level of protection (TM3P) In short:

if you want maximum protection, better comfort and easier breathing, a PAPR is almost always the best choice.
